Been a LONG Time!

It's been a long time since I updated. Everyone is growing up so fast around here! Ethan is 15 months old, Kali is 4 (almost 5), Nathan is 13 (almost 14), and Kimberly is 14 (almost 15)!! The summer is well underway and will be over before we know it!! Here are some peeks into the last few months!! ENJOY!

Not enjoying riding the truck with Kali!
Playing in the fort together....

Handsome boy!

Loves the snow!!

No words necessary!

So nice of Nathan to pull his sis around...while she eats her snow!

Nathan let us bury him... then he acted like he was napping.

Little Nana and Grandma came out to help us run the Alex's Lemonade Stand...

The poor horse had a ton of riders that day!

Soccer legs in motion!

To get Ethan interested in his toys I put this one on his belly and let him kick like usual. It's fun to see him do the same motion over and over to figure out the sound. He is more alert every day... love it!!

Two months down... one to go!

Two months have come and gone and we are having a good time! Ethan is growing like crazy and is changing every day. We are starting to see signs of jealousy in Kali but it's quite manageable and in all she is quite fond of her baby brother! Enjoy our pictures!!
Started off Spring with a trip to Deanna Rose Farmstead. I am not so great at taking pictures when I am out and about with both kids and no daddy to help so this is all you get! :-) She loves loves love going to the "animal farm" so I am sure we'll have more later! Oh yeah, the shutter wasn't open all the way... adds a bit of drama to the photo!
Play time with Miss Trinity! Trinity was born on the same day, only 7 hours earlier than Ethan! She was only 2 days early and so you can see a little bit of a size difference!! She kept looking at him as if to say, "Why are you crying?" It's pretty special to share your birthday with such a cute little girl... they are sure to be buddies for life!!
Ahhh, already signs of blossoming love! :-)
Peek a Boo!!
Kali likes to try to be the baby along side little brother.
She quickly figured out that she can't buckle up in this little seat and then took to rocking in it and hiding from the camera!
Weird how much she looks like me in this picture!
Sweet little boy!
Sleep sleep sleep!
Tea time with Woody- her favorite toy ever!! Note the princess light up shoes and how they accessorize the princess jammy dress! I sure hope Woody is warm enough under his blanket! :-)
She loves this guy!
Kali took this picture... we have a family of geese that keep mingling in the lot across from our house. We are pretty sure there are eggs hidden in the weeds and can't wait to see some fuzzy babies honking about!
Little Nana is here! She was soooo excited to hold her newest great grandson! Talk about some pride in those sweet eyes! It was hard to take him home after this... I think she could have held our sweet little man all day! She did put him down long enough to play some serious indoor soccer with Kali. Sorry... no pics of that but I can tell you for sure that it was intense! :-)

Twelve Weeks off of Work: Month 1

Wow! This first month has flown by!! I get to take 12 weeks off of work and am trying my best to document all of our fun. Despite the issues of night time sleeping things are going well! It took Ethan an extra week to get to his birth weight after the normal loss but now is doing well and eating like a champ. Big sis Kali is smitten with him but not so much that she can't entertain herself with her toys all all other distractions like taking pictures!! Kimberly and Nathan are great and avoiding the camera like always but I plan on catching them soon!! Mike has been WONDERFUL!! He kept up with all of the grocery shopping this month, keeps Kali entertained when I need it, and is all around awesome. I'm pretty lucky!! I will try to post pictures in one month increments because, well, having a second little one changes EVERYTHING!! :-)
Kali took this one... super cute sleeping on the hippo mat!!
Go for the binkie... stay away from the thumb!!
Daddy and Kali making the biggest peanut butter cookies I have ever seen!!
Check out the mohawk!!
Ethan has many many different expressions... here he is saying Ohhhhh.
No no no... get put in a binkie and stay away from the thumb!
Another Kali picture... she loves this guy!! Daddy is a great subject to photograph!
Funny Faces!!
One last snow... it was in the 50s so we decided to play in it!!
Gotta clean it up!
Whoopsie...
All of that hair... I sure had a lot of heartburn with this little guy!
Kali said she was diving in the ocean! Funny girl acting like she's scuba diving with this water bottle lid... maybe we've seen Finding Nemo a few times! :-)
Landon couldn't stop laughing when he held Ethan!!
Sweet Baby Boy!!!

Ethan has arrived!!

What a day!! I celebrated my 29th birthday on March the 4th with a sick day and a wicked dose of bronchitis!! That night I found myself suffering through a 5 min coughing fit and when I got up to tend to Kali... I found that my water had broken!! After about 45 min of denial I realized that I needed to call the doctor and get Mike out of bed. We got to the hospital at 6:50 am and found that I wasn't dilated OR effaced. To say the least I was a little frantic worrying that I forced him out and that he wasn't going to be ready or wasn't going to have strong lungs... well by 8pm that night Ethan Jeffrey made his way into our world as perfect as can be! He weighed in at 7lbs and was 19 3/4 inches long. He was ready and now we are complete!!

First time holding Ethan... I got to cut the cord because Mike was too emotional to pull it together... He was so strong for me, such a great husband!!

Big man tipped the scales at 7lbs (rounding up from 6lb 5/8oz)
Uh oh... we already have one thumb sucker!! Somebody hurry up and grab a binky!

Proud big sister! Kimberly couldn't wait to hold him! She' been telling me for weeks that she plans on holding him every day all day... now it's not quite like that but she's pretty happy to have him home!!
Nate thinks he's a cool little dude!!
Soooo tired and soooo happy to have him in our arms!
Sweet little man!!

Sure I'll hold him... just don't get in the way of my cartoons!!
